Equipment Finance

Equipment finance that keeps cash in the business.

The machine earns from day one, so there's rarely a good reason to pay for it out of working capital. We structure the finance around the asset's useful life and your cashflow, not around whatever the supplier's finance partner offers.

How It Works

Three steps, and we do most of them

No forms to chase, no lender queues to sit in. You answer some questions once and we take it from there.

01
Tell us the basics

Four short steps online — what you’re buying, roughly what it costs and a little about you. About two minutes, and no credit check at this stage.

02
We match the lender

We put your profile against 30+ lenders and pick the ones whose credit policy actually fits it, so the application goes in where it has the best chance.

03
Approval and settlement

Most approvals land within 24–48 hours. We handle the paperwork with the lender and the supplier, settle directly with them, and the gear goes to work.

Why Through Us

What a broker changes

Anyone can fill in a lender’s online form. The value is in knowing which lender to approach before you do.

Low-doc where it applies

For an established ABN buying a standard asset, plenty of lenders will approve to around $150,000 without full financials. That's days rather than weeks — but only if the application is put in as low-doc from the start.

Chattel mortgage, lease or rental

These sit differently on your books and are treated differently at tax time. We'll explain what each one does and hand the detail to your accountant, who is the one who should be making that call.

Structured for real cashflow

Seasonal income, a machine that takes three months to bed in, a deposit you'd rather not pay — structured repayments and balloons exist for these. Most supplier finance offers one shape only.

Auctions and private sales

Buying used gear at auction is normal in this market and needs finance that can settle to an auction house's timetable. That's a specific lender list, and being pre-approved before you bid is the whole game.

Before You Apply

What you’ll need on hand

Nothing is needed to start — this is what the lender will ask for once we’ve matched you to one.

Sole trader or partnership
  • ABN, ideally registered 12+ months
  • Driver licence
  • Three to six months of business bank statements
  • The supplier invoice or quote
Company or trust
  • ABN and ACN, plus GST registration
  • Director ID and licence
  • Recent BAS lodgements
  • Financials for larger or full-doc deals
Missing something on this list isn’t a dead end. Low-doc options exist for most of these gaps — it changes which lender we approach, not whether the deal can be done. Send us the scenario and we’ll tell you straight.
Questions

Equipment Finance, answered

How new does my ABN need to be?
Twelve months of registration opens most of the panel. Under that it's still doable — there are lenders who write new-ABN deals, usually with a deposit or a director's property in the background — it just narrows the list and changes the pricing.
What is low-doc, exactly?
Approval based on your ABN history, credit file and the asset itself rather than on full financial statements. For established businesses buying standard equipment it commonly runs to about $150,000, and it's the difference between an answer this week and an answer next month.
Chattel mortgage or lease — which should I take?
They differ in who owns the asset, how GST is handled and how the repayments are treated at tax time. We'll set out how each works for your situation, but the final call belongs with your accountant and we'll happily talk to them directly.
Can I finance used equipment?
Yes, including auction purchases. Age and hours matter to the lender since they're securing against the machine, so very old gear may need a deposit or a shorter term. Get pre-approved before the auction rather than after you've won.
Can I raise cash against equipment I already own?
Often, yes — a sale-and-leaseback lets you release capital from unencumbered gear. It suits a business with strong assets and a short-term cash need, and it's worth checking the numbers carefully before committing.
Do you charge a fee?
No broker fee to you on standard equipment deals. We're paid by the lender that writes the facility, and anything unusual is disclosed to you in writing before you sign.

We finance a lot more than equipment
